SRF - Zambooster - Interactive 3D Live TV
This project was all about mixing TV, internet, games and phones together to create a outstanding interactive and cross-media experience for kids. Since the project was quite complex, there were a lot of things to accomplish. To describe this project in short, it was about integrating a 3D game into a live TV-game show. Kids could participate with their mobile phones or using the website that included a live-stream of the show.
A good overview can be found at the project archive of "gosub".
The main parts of my work were on the one hand to set up the network communication between the 3D render-client and the game-server and on the other hand to build a crowd-animation system. If you don't get what I am talking about, never mind, going into details would only lead to more confusion. Anyway, the final system worked smooth and very stable, was easy to use for the people working in the studio at SRF and brought hopefully a lot of fun to the kids.
